Actor Sheezan Khan, who has been arrested as part of the investigation into the death case of his co-star and former girlfriend Tunisha Sharma, will remain in police custody till Friday, a court near Mumbai said on Wednesday.
Mr Khan was produced in court by the police after his custody expired.
Tunisha Sharma was found dead on the sets of her TV show Alibaba - Dastaan-e-Kabul on Saturday. A day later, Sheezan Khan was arrested on charges of driving her to suicide.
Mr Khan and Ms Sharma reportedly broke up 15 days before she died by suicide.
He has told investigators that their relationship ended after three months as it didn't work out between them, and also spoke about the age gap between the two, a police officer said on Monday.
The officer said there was nothing so far to point out that the two decided to break up because of the Shraddha Walkar murder case, in which her live-in partner Aaftab Poonawala was arrested by the Delhi Police.
As the incident triggered intense discussions on social media, Ms Sharma's mother on Monday alleged Mr Khan had cheated and "used" her daughter for three to four months.
