Sonic is currently giving away free cheeseburgers with any purchase. Which doesn’t sound like that exciting of a deal—but when they say “any purchase,” they really mean it. So if you don’t want to splurge on fries or a soda, you can buy a “mini cup of ice” for around $0.09 and still get your free cheeseburger. Toss ‘em a dime and tell them “keep the change.” (You’ll seem very cool.)
How to get your “free” cheeseburger for buying some ice
To get your sandwich, you need to make a purchase on the Sonic website or via the app. You can get something from their “Under $2 and $3 craves” menu, but if you really want to spend as little as possible, you can also just order...a mini cup of ice, which will cost you around a dime, give or take.
Once you know what you want, go to the cart. Click the “Rewards & Promo Codes” drop down, and select “Apply Promo Code.” Type in the code “TASTY” and click “Apply Code.” You will be prompted to select one of two options—either the Sonic Cheeseburger or the Plain Sonic Cheeseburger (the same burger, just without any veggies). Next, choose you closest Sonic location and proceed to checkout and pay for your order.
It’s not clear how long the “TASTY” code is valid, and the deal could potentially end at any moment without notice. The price of your mini ice cup could also vary depending on your location.
