Heavy rain accompanied by hail and strong winds hit many parts of Delhi and neighbouring Noida this evening bringing down the temperature. It looked like it snowed on the empty roads of the national capital.
On Friday too, light rain brought down the temperature in Delhi.
Social media into an overdrive, with many sharing videos and images on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Videos on Twitter show pounding rain and hailstones hitting the streets.

The weatherman had predicted strong winds for today. A partly cloudy sky and thundery development is the prediction for Sunday as well.
The mercury has been steadily rising in Delhi - the rain is expected to bring some relief. The city recorded a maximum of 37.3 degrees and a minimum of 22.6 degrees Celsius.
