Mother’s Day can be a particularly tough holiday for some people, for a variety of different reasons. But if your family does celebrate, and wants to spend at least part of the day at a large home improvement chain store, you could get some free flowers out of it. Here’s what to know.
How to get free Mother’s Day flowers at Lowe’s
Mother’s Day may not be until Sunday, May 14, but if you want to snag some free flowers from Lowe’s, you’ll need to plan ahead. That’s because the giveaway is part of a weekend-long event celebrating moms and “other special friends,” according to the listing, and you have to book a spot to partake in the plant-centric party.
So what kind of flowers is Lowe’s giving away? The only detail the store provides is that it’s a “one-pint flower,” but Apartment Therapy reports that it’ll be an “annual flowering plant that will last through [the] spring and early summer for years to come.”
Once registration opens at midnight EST on Sunday, April 30, visit the event page on the Lowe’s website, and fill out the form. Though registration technically doesn’t close until May 12, supplies (i.e. the free flowers) are limited, so sign up as early as possible.
The event is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 14. At some point before then, Lowe’s will email you with more information on the event, your time slot, and instructions for pickup. In addition to the free flowers, you’ll also receive a $10 coupon for your next $75 Lowe’s purchase.
Finally, the event listing indicates that there will be “fun activities and giveaways for all to enjoy,” though doesn’t provide any additional details on what they might entail.
