Raksha Bandhan 2020: Spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi, popularly known as 'Amma' among her followers, greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Raksha Bandhan today.
In a video message Mata Amritanandamayi said, "...at a time when there are so many crises in the country both inside and from neighbouring countries, the Prime Minister has to take the correct decisions to protect the nation. May God give him the strength to protect the people of the nation.

After receiving wishes on his birthday in 2018, the Prime Minister said, "...You have always been a constant source of strength and positivity not only in my life but also in the lives of millions of people. Thank you very much."
After launching the "Swachhata Hi Seva" campaign, Prime Minister Modi had interacted with religious and spiritual leaders like Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and Mata Amritanandamayi.
Before becoming the Prime Minister, in 2013, Mr Modi had also attended Mata Amritanandamayi's 60th birthday celebrations held at the mutt, about 80 km from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
