Nissan has issued a recall for 404,690 older pickup trucks, SUVs and minivans for a potential safety issue with their airbags. A National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report says, “the posts of the emblem may develop cracks over time, and the emblem and retainer components could detach in the event of an airbag deployment.” That means the emblem could become a projectile if the airbag were to deploy, posing an increased risk of injury to the vehicle’s occupants.
