It’s not often you find Nintendo slashing prices for their precious consoles—the company even mulled raising the price of the Switch in 2022, some six years after its release. Outside of highly touted promotions like the recent MAR10 Day deal, you usually need to buy refurbished if you want a discount—and that goes double for the newest iteration of the console, the Nintendo Switch OLED.
The top-of-the-line model first went on sale back in December for a measly $10 off, according to Rolling Stone, but currently, you can get a Nintendo Switch OLED for $40 off—the lowest price it’s been since its October 2021 release—provided you act fast.
How to get the Nintendo Switch OLED for $40 off
The deal comes from Woot!, Amazon’s subsidiary online retailer that offers daily deals and limited-time promotions on a variety of products. While Woot!’s discounted products are usually refurbished, used, or returned items, this deal is for brand new Nintendo Switch OLED models.
Don’t expect fast Amazon Prime delivery times—it’ll take about seven days for the console to get to you, depending on your location. However, if you are an Amazon Prime member, you do get free shipping. You can order a maximum of two consoles per customer, but the version with white controllers is your only option. The deal is available through March 31, or while supplies last—and there’s a good chance they won’t last long.
Is $310 for the Nintendo Switch OLED a good deal?
It’s not uncommon to find the Nintendo Switch OLED version discounted from the $350 official MSRP listed on the Nintendo website—Amazon regularly sells the white color model for $339, and if you don’t care about buying used, Walmart offers refurbished models at $325. But that’s the extent of the deals you will find from official retailers.
In other words, $310 is the best price we’ve seen for a new Nintendo Switch OLED, so if you’ve been holding off on ordering one, this is a great time to finally hit the start button.
